Colorado Springs weather is unpredictable. We can have freezing temps one day and the next day it'll be 60 degrees.
We scheduled this family photography session for 12pm — smack dab in the middle of the afternoon. The eldest sibling had a basketball game later on in the day so we did what we had to and for the most part, we had some nice cloud cover.
But we also had huge gusts of cold wind, snow flurries, and blazing sunshine...all in 1.5 hours. It was a challenge but it paid off!
The kids weren't very happy with the cold wind but they did so well! This is another one of my favorite locations to shoot. It has so much versatility!
